UAM Tillers of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi today 3rd November 2018 locked horns with UNICAL Malabites of Calabar in the maiden Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) finals which held at Agege Stadium, Lagos Nigeria. 


After a barren draw which characterized regulation time,  UAM Tillers decided the 2018 HiFl final in a 5:4 penalty shootout with Toradza Success stopping a UNICAL penalty and Odenigbo David Ebuka (Team Captain)  scoring the winner to crown Tillers as maiden Champions of the first privately driven collegiate football league in West Africa (HiFl). 

Haven won the HiFL, team UAM Tillers will be representing Nigeria next year at the world Universities games in Naples, Italy. 

Activities for the Hifl finals continue in Lagos tomorrow with a gala and awards night alongside other exciting events outlined by the organisers to wrap up the HiFl 2018 campaign.
